Rooibos Tea Origin and Production Site

Rooibos Tea is a coniferous plant native to the Cedarburg Mountains, north of Cape Town, South Africa. Rooibos Tea means red shrub in Afrikaans.
The native Koisans of Cape have long known the efficacy of rooibos tea and collected it with herbs, and the Dutch who moved to Cape used it as a substitute for black tea.
It was spread more than 100 years ago in Europe and is currently distributed to more than 20 countries, including the United States and Japan.
